Any home visit is agreed with you afterwards.

What your assessment
includes

Your health, movement and goals

We talk through what has changed, how you manage day to day and what you’d like to do more easily. Your health and current ability guide the assessment.

Your home and equipment

We look at the movements and parts of your home that matter for your goals. That could include your own chair, stairs or walking aid, and practical changes that may help.

A plan to use between visits

Your personalised exercise and rehabilitation plan is included in the assessment fee. We explain the exercises and check how you get on with them, so you know what to practise at home.

Care where everyday life happens

The height of your chair, the space around it and the equipment you use are part of the picture. Seeing these at home helps us build the plan around your day-to-day life.

Your home visit,
step by step

You can ask for yourself or for someone else. There’s no need to know which service you need before getting in touch.

  1. Start with a conversation

Tell us what has become harder and what you’d like help with. This first conversation about suitability is free. If a home assessment is appropriate, we agree the appointment with you.

  2. Meet in your own home

At your initial assessment, we get to know your situation and look at how you move in your own surroundings. You help decide the goals for your exercise and rehabilitation plan.

  3. Review what you need next

Follow-up visits review your progress and adjust the plan. How many visits you have, and how often, depends on your assessment and goals. Further appointments are discussed with you.

Arranging care
for someone else

For a relative or someone you care for

You can make the first enquiry, even if you live off the Island. The person having treatment stays involved in decisions about their care. With their agreement, you can join the conversation and discuss how to support the plan between visits.

More about arranging support for a relative

For a care home

Care-home arrangements are priced individually. We discuss your home’s needs, the scope of the work and the visiting schedule with you.

Questions about home visits

Still have a question?
Ask us by email.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your assessment, what you want to work towards and how you respond to treatment. We discuss follow-ups with you and review the plan as you go. There is no single number of visits that suits everyone.

Can a relative or carer be with me?

You can ask for someone to be there. Let us know when you arrange the appointment, and say how you would like them involved. You stay involved in decisions about your treatment, and updates are shared with your consent.

Is this an NHS service?

Vectis Home Physio is a private physiotherapy service. Jacob also works in the NHS, but these home visits are separate from his NHS work.

How do I enquire about a follow-up?

Message us on WhatsApp, email us or use the form below, and mention that you have had a visit before. We can discuss the appropriate next step and current availability with you. Sending a message does not book an appointment.

Ask us about
a home visit

Tell us what has become harder and where on the Island you live. You can ask for yourself or for someone else.

The first conversation is free. Sending a message starts an enquiry, and an appointment is arranged with you afterwards.

Your name, who it’s for and a way to reply are enough to start.
